O rings

Hi all,
I'm after a boxed set of O rings for a motorbike restoration.
But a simple search by a simpleton brings up so many types with so many properties that I'm pretty confused.
What would I actually need in terms of boxed set O ring kit for restoring a Japanese bike of 1980's vintage.
Normal mineral oils, SAE20 40 and Dot 4 brake fluid. it's a Yamaha FJ1200.

I'd simply buy the proper O rings from a Yamaha parts supplier. A boxed set might be typical "made in China" quality so do you want to risk oil leaks of brake failure ? Not a massive problem with oil leaks but at very least use proper items for anything to do with brakes. I suppose if you can get the exact specifications of the original O rings then a bearing / seal supplier might be able to match them.

I bought a box of assorted O rings, not the cheapest available either, they are ok for hosepipe fittings and the like but certainly not of the quality I would like to trust for a critical use.

Buy a set, the japs are very good at using non standard sizes. You'll never get them in an assortment

and any assortment box of O rings is unlikely to be resistant to oil and dot4, it'll be one or the other

Try Yambits or Sutton for genuine parts.

If your going anywhere near DOT 4 fluid EPDM is the only rubber that will tolerate this fluid.
