I know its not welding but, the plastic caster wheels on our bed are breaking up. SWMBO said we need a new bed. I have told her I can fit new wheels into the casters.
My idea was to buy some nylon bar, cut slices from it, drill the centres, hey presto a wheel. I could then remove the caster axles, fit wheel, replace axle. Simple!
When searching the net for nylon rod I found direct plastics online. They have all sorts of plastic bar. So my question is would nylon be the best choice?
I will not need so much that price is a big issue.
I had planned to cut the slices using my Evolution Rage3 with its universal blade, just in case that makes a difference.
Thanks,
David
