nuts washer bolts

Hello all

Does anyone know where I can buy AF nuts, bolts and washers in different sizes from Sheffield.

I need a few for the car and a few for stock, so it will be small quantities.

Williams Brothers may be able to help. Minimum £10.00 before VAT though. I usually buy by the box so you'd better give them a ring about small quantities before visiting them.

Don't ask for AF though, that's the spanner size, you need to specify the bolt diameter, length (below the head) and thread type (UNF, UNC &c&c)

Mail order but really helpful and sell things individually. Also sell plated fastenings which are somethimes a bit hard to find.

Yes, i was also going to suggest Namrick or EBay.

Or you could try one of those old fashioned counter and man in brown overalls hardware type shop, where you go to the counter ask what you want and he goes and gets it (remember the Two Ronnies "Four candles" sketch?). There is such a place near me in Kent, should be able to find somewhere like that in Sheffield too! These old hardware shops have stocks they bought 30 years ago, AF, BSF, BA etc.

Another idea is to go to the wesbite for the specialist parts supplier for your car- they often sell nuts and bolts for your car at surprisingly cheap prices.

This time of year is classic car show season. Many of the bigger shows have autojumbles- you can sometimes get tools and nuts and bolts at these.

A bit of a trip from Sheffield but Bradford Bolt and Nut (BBN) were always very good when I lived up there.
