Some of you like the Hot Rod scene::
I took a very short video on Sunday, Now family pressures meant I couldn't spend hours walking round the show field again. Sadly my better half doesn't share my enthusiasm or my interest, after one lap of the field she lost the will to live-- can you really believe that.!!!! Anyway here`s the footage I took, I'm sorry I do not have the time to put fancy wipes in, add background music, and all the bells and whistles available in editing programmes. What you see is what you get. Apologies to the many, many owners who are not lucky enough to have been included, Everyone who was lucky enough to be there on Sunday will well appreciate the quantity and superb quality on the show field, several of the weekend campers not making the showground as it was well and truly full. Sit back reminisce and maybe enjoy a nostalgic look back down memory lane.

For me there was only 1 true Hot rod in there and that was the Willys at 5.11

I remember watching a film called HOT ROD or at something very similar to that. the film was about a pre war willys that was found in a junk yard in Lyons California. The guy who raced it basicly was loaned parts so he could beat Sonny Munn in his Munns Root Beer Special. He even borrowed the engine from a police car ;-)

It was and still is a fantastic film

I've never liked rods but reading Langy's willy's gasser build thread has got me interest piqued. I do love old muscle cars though. I suggested to the OH that a nice big engine would be easy to maintain than a complicated turbo diesel.

Her answer was so long as it's fast and she gets to hoon it then it's a goer. She's such a speed freak!
