Welcome aboard, pictures will surely help but you may want to change the title to just "union oxycut" because it's too long...
Anyways if you upload pictures tomorrow I'm pretty sure someone will know what you have your hands on.
And that's a topic for the "other type of welding" section because is a dedicated section for oxyfuel equipment either for welding or cutting but other types to like resistance welding (spot welding) forge welding, friction welding, exothermic welding and cutting like for thermal lancing etc
Mods and members over here are very friendly.

I don't think it's still possible.
But there's a time period when you are able to click on a key next to the report at end of the post.
It says edit.
You click on it and should be possible to change and save modifications.
But again moderators here are very friendly and you can ask them to make the modifications or to move the thread to another section

Thread 'MIG welder powering a HHO generator'

Hi all, I am after some advice, lately I have been seriously contemplating building a HHO generator and one of the options I am thinking of doing is using the output from my large MIG welder to power up the electrolysing cell. On my MIG welder I can dial in the welders DC output voltage from 10V to 40V in 0.1V increments, so that part isn't a problem.

The problem I am concerned about is that my minimum current if welding and at 10V is about 60-70A, now I don't know how that would translate to plugging it in to the cell, as it might be similar to a large car battery when you...

Hey all, cheers for the replying. I believe it would be useless for me as I mig ( with a very good paton welder which I'll do a review on) and I want to go Into either an oxy set or plasma set. It wouldn't help with that would it?
