Not bad for a tenner if your eyesight is poor

I ordered one of these magnifying head lamps about a month ago and they just arrived.

I didn't expect much, I wanted something different than a magnifying desk lamp as its sometimes awkward with them, they can get in the way.

Its taken ages to arrive but I think its worth a tenner, just used it for the first time and having a selection of four different magnifications and an LED light its pretty useful. Its not that strong some I'm not leaving it lying around in the workshop.

Thanks for the post. Like the look of that myself. You don't usually get something useful for a tenner these days.

That is ideal for getting out splinters, you know the ones where you have to spread the skin and use tweezers at the same time.
and very handy for looking at anything small, the light is a big bones too.

we got a few round by me that are that rough you get plenty of change for a tenner.

They're ok but I find them rather heavy to wear a while so I put me noggin in gear and bought a decent surveilance camera and small desk tripod and position the camera over where I'm working on ie looking at small pcbs or soldering,the cameras hooked up to a 22" flatscreen monitor so its pretty big on the screen.

Its a pain in the butt trying to keep your head still and doing what you need to do,slight movement and you're out of focus.

Not too bad, not Zeiss Icon but good enough and it feels natural using them in terms of hand eye co-ordination unlike cameras and to a lesser degree bench magnifiers

Quality is ok for occasional use, not if it your job or full on hobby.
