My wife just returned from delivering 5 puppies to Germany this Friday.........
We agreed that we need to take a break....so much work at home and pups just take up so much time...
Then Sunday afternoon we got a call about 10 pups that had been dumped in a church yard next to a river.....nobody around here will take newborns or young'uns...
we love little ones....
Weather was very wet and unusually cold.....
We couldn't leave them....luckily we have the facility's to keep em safe and warm....
We drove around for hours trying to find the correct church....ps, in Greece there's a church on every corner....
We found them in the end in such a poorly state....very dirty an cold.....
Only 7 pups left.....!!!!!!!!
I walked around for a long time and checked the river bank...a very fast flowing river with ice cold water direct of the snowy mountains....
I was dreading finding any bodies but I could not leave them there....They would need to be buried...we have a lovely spot in our garden for our family pets....
Anyway, I could not find them....a friend will visit the place everyday for a week just to be sure....
So busy times ahead, well for the next 3-4 months....
Now they are all bathed and blow dried and fluffy.....hahaha....
We lost two of our Border Collies this last year, so the Mrs has found a timid, bullied shelter dog with a destroyed front foot.....
so he will be part of our family now....
No rest for the wicked......lol...
we only have 11 foster pups on the plot...2 waiting for a flight partner to get em out...
