I'd like a die grinder but cant warrant the expense.
Can adapters be purchase to use a normal grinder as a sort of 90 degree die?

Very good point indeed. No good for work but fine for home.If you have a compressor then get an air die grinder, they're only about £20.

I'm thinking the carbide bits would remove weld in awkward places quicker than a grinding disk. Am I right?
A "B" grade router like the Trend above is over £80, an Evolution die grinder is around £60. I know, coz I got one of each.
