Have just cleaned faces of 4 brass rods within the HF unit that sits on top of the above mentioned welder. (block on right in image, at angle)
The distance between the faces was noted with a feeler gauge before removing them, and I replaced exactly as found, once cleaned.
The welder now works considerably better than it did before (it was not starting a weld very well at all, arcing intermittently at best)
My only remaining thought - was the gap between the ends of the facing rods correct in the first place, or would I need to adjust to a more precise gap?
I cannot find any data on this, unfortunately I do not have the suitable manual Which probably does not help.
Any help would be appreciated.
