No Spark

I hoping someone can point out the error/fault. As I and 3 mates (2 sparkies cannot find the problem)

Lost Spark on a XR400. Stator is outputting voltage and pickup is giving a signal to the CDI. (Ive had the CDI on another bike and it works.) Brand new coil and good plug. Wiring is also in VGC. I have earths to coil ground from the Pickup, CDI, and the Coil. Yet the CDI does not output any voltage to the coil upon kicking the bike over.
No other wiring on the bike

Any suggestions

Do you have a signal at the coil or is it not there at all. If not there, are you getting a signal from the pickup at the cdi? Not just at the pickup.

I ask as I had a shorted kill switch on my LC that was caused by tiny particles of the worn copper contacts floating in some WD40 I'd sprayed in there.
It was just enough to stop the spark.

Do you have a handheld meter or scope to look at the pickup output at the cdi as richard suggests? Also Ive come across cases where the stator source coils short internally and their output goes weak but is still present, and its not enough power to energise the cdi. Same for the source coils. You can measure their resistance disconnected and there'll be a spec in the book for this and if its too low in ohms its shorted internally.
Also madness does it have lighting coils, I put a bigger headlight bulb in my SP400 which is also cdi off a source coil and is wired to have the headlight on full time (one less switch to have problems with offroad...) that also runs off its own separate source coil in the mag, and it started to misfire and get naughty about starting. A smaller rating bulb back in (back to the glow worm) and symptoms disappeared. We came up with the explanation that the extra drain of the too big headlight robbed too much magnetic flux and it made the power to the cdi lower, even though they were two separate source coils in the mag...
I'll leave the kill switch gnd'ing the cdi input because you state no other wiring on the bike, so guess it has a stripped back loom being the enduro.

Sorry for the late reply. To be frank Ive given up, its currently on its way to Rex's Speed shop.

Thank you for all your suggestions, I heard them all. Ive tested everything (Peak Voltage meter, but no Mega).

I'll let you know what they find.
