check connections would be my first suggestion...if it was fine before the torch change, id say that may have something to do with it, either a connection has come loose or something in the torch has failed.
if all that looks good, get the case off and have a poke around (with it unplugged), theres not a huge amount to go wrong with a transformer machine
I have split it open looked at a bunch of stuff. Blew out the case. Cleaned the connector for the trigger wire. I suspect the contactor box. I think that is what it is called. Sometimes clicks sometimes it doesnt. Might have to take it out for further inspection.
First off, great forum ! i've been reading some interesting posts and carried out some tests from the info I have read, but would like further help on my welder that has just stopped working?
Problem: "Not welding / producing an arc"
The wire feed works when I press the trigger, the internal fan operates and the switch light illuminates.
I've checked continuity on the earth clamp back to the wire connection inside and it seems fine.
I've removed the rectifier that has a 4 diode set up (2 pair) and put a meter across each diode to check them, they all worked in one direction...
