Nissan nv200 medium van any good?

Been looking at small/medium sized vans criteria is just be good on fuel 40mpg must be 2m load length so can fit the motorcycle in it.

Narrowed it down to a Nissan nv200 1.5dci, 2009 so pre-dpf has anyone owned one of these? Nissan advertise 57mpg if I get high 40’s I’ll be happy

Friend of mine had a Kangoo with the same engine, it's a Renault but same manufacturer. It had a few minor problems but did over 200,000 miles in 11 years.

I bought my nv200 new in 2012. It’s been the most reliable vehicle Iv ever owned.
1.5dci Renault engine, which have been around a long time now.
I used to put bikes in the van but it’s full of tools now.
Good on fuel, high 40’s mpg will be achievable if your lightly loaded. I tow a trailer a lot but still get 42mpg ish.

If that’s the size your after I recommend them. A lot of people say they’re too small but you’ve already done your research.
For me the size is fine as I don’t have a car so the van is used for my business and personal travels.

That sounds great, going looking at a 2009 tomorrow so will be pre-dpf hopefully even slightly better on juice, I've seen people get 250 mx bikes in them so shouldn't be too much problem with any other bikes in there really, can always fold the front seat down if need be. Doing too much running round so this will be the new daily while the other gets retired to Sundays

The new transits look great but can't afford to spend the extra on a van when it needs to go elswhere at the minute, saying that the way vans are at the minute if you can get past the waiting list drive it for a year and probably get your money back

Even the 1.6hdi peugeot experts/ 1.3 fiat doblo's are great on fuel.

The kangaroo/nv200 1.5dci is a relatively good engine. And been out long enough that parts are easily available.
