NIIMBOT subscription required to print?

Mine arrived today. D110 - To my surprise it wont let me print using their app unless I pay a subscription??

@MattF am I missing something here - did you pay a subscription to print?

You can use the app without subscribing. The VIP subscription is mainly for extra fonts, templates etc.. There are a basic set of fonts & such available without subscription.

Yeah I thought the same when I first got mine but as above the app works fine just dont change from standard font

Examples. Any font or template with the VIP emblem by it need the subscription. Any without are free to use.

There is a bill currently going through the process in America to require ALL 3d printers to connect only via a state sponsored application which will scan for possible gun parts. It might even require a license and/or state sponsored spyware to be installed in your home machine.

Another unforeseen "benefit" of unlimited AI data manipulation. Such a system could never work with dumb software. probably never will work anyway but it's the thought that counts and you know what these bureaucrats are thinking...

Newsflash: Bambu have the exact system required to roll out such a feature.

Being the US I guess if it doesn't find gun parts will it automatically add some.

Same here. Less than 15 quid and it spits out labels with no fuss or drama.

They are small labels. For the price its OK yes. Doesn't support heat shrink so for full compatibiltiy my main Dymo label printer is still preffered for me. Er indoors can use this Niimbot for jams etc

I bought longer labels for mine at the same time as ordering the printer. It measures the labels at power on and tells the app what size is installed.

Yeah that the feature i like it picks that up and its dead easy to fire off prints from the mobile, currently slowly going through the workshop replacing my dodgy handwritten ones

Has anyone tried transparent labels in these yet? I find transparent neater overall for light surfaces
