So defo smaller one and worth a punt at £350?Lang always made variations and Tony’s catalogue is a earlier one.
The one for sale is a six speed not twelve like a 10”
As I said my call is made on actually owning the same lathe and seeing a 10” one and how physically big they are. The one for sale is a small lathe and thinking about it logically does it look heavy
YesSo defo smaller one and worth a punt at £350?
Seriously considering
Two hours left and no bidsThis Lang needs saving too
LANG lathe, probably dates to WW2. Around 8" center height. | eBay
LANG lathe, probably dates to WW2. Around 8" center height. Can help with loading - at your risk. Estimated weight around 2000kg. Don't want to send it for scrap!www.ebay.co.uk
Did you buy it?Someone saved it. £100
I’m no expert but I can probably give you a hand loading it at this end if you need?Soooo, hypothetically, how does one go about moving Junior?
Booooooooooo!!!I have been in contact with seller.
Yes it's the 8.5" model. So weighs about 1.5 tons. Within reach of a plant trailer. He has also said he can offer delivery.
I am giving him tips to help sell it
And no I am not shipping it on a pallet
I was hesitant in shifting it, not the lathe quality. But yes 'cheap castings' or something could not be used as an excuse for me being quarter a mile out. No tyre kicking, just upfront before anything was organized, and we had a great morning looking it over and checking and confirming a few things like dimensions etc.Ideal first lathe! Less likely to blame anything on the machine
Does the junior have particular points for lifting/lashing?Well junior sold
Thanks for offer, first lathe so complete beginner in this myself.I’m no expert but I can probably give you a hand loading it at this end if you need?
