just to clear things up, as i don't do much with lgv/hgv, in assuming train weight is the same as gross weight for the vehicle and load when being towed?

Ho Baloo. Have a look on Rods 'n' Sods. There's a guy in Glasgow called V8Jimmy, he imports big yank stuff, Im sure he has a couple of COEs and haulers in at the mo, might be a lot cheaper buying a genuine truck, for the perks. pre 60 no MOT, cheap insurance etc.

l was following a 6.2 v8 diesel on ebay that was in tanworth, l rang him last week but it had sold, 6.2 is not the best according to the boys over the water , 6.5 turbo is much better but still not on a par with a cummins, latest duramax is much better but spendy though
was looking at an iveco engine like thgis from a 7.5 tonner, auto as well h'mmm

ford iveco chassis, iveco euro cargo engine and box, maybe l should look at ford ranger bodys, officer dibble wont have a clue what hes looking at when he stops me will he lol
just googled the width of a navara, around 1850mm bit wider than my iveco then
l trawled all through the adds on rods and sods last week, will have another look who knows what may turn up

wr had a travelling fair in Cwmbran not too long ago and they were towing their fifth wheel caravans with dodge rams
l did look at the fair recently and most were 7.5 ton leyland dafs tugging the fifth wheelers but they are showmen and have many concessions like towing 2 trailers, must be fun reverseing that !!
anyway we are wandering off here its more a case of what body l can use so l dont look like a commercial vehicle not what will tow it, l know a big dodge would do the job but l dont have one ( yet )

aren't all pickup considered ti be commercial? Or at least i thought they were. Have to pay commercial rates on the Severn bridge
even my astra van has to pay full wack same as a 40 ton artic on the seven bridge

As far as i am aware its only bikes and reliant 3 wheelers that are free. Morgan 3 wheelers have to pay car rates (mate works for a Morgan dealer, never stops moaning about it)
