Nflixin 9600 series inverter 3-wire control (help needed)

I am trying to configure an Nflixin 9600 series inverter for 3-wire control. I bought it from AliExpress a few months ago and I'm finally getting around to installing it in the machine.

I have disabled panel control and enabled (remote) terminal control:

I have enabled "3-line mode 2":

My remote control uses a normally open switch for the run command and a normally closed switch for the stop command. I have a SPST latching switch for the running direction.

When I press the run switch (close the switch) nothing happens. I have checked the wiring and it is correct. Presumably I have missed a setting somewhere????

For a sanity check, I also tried two-line mode 1 as shown in figure 8-7 and this worked as it should.

Looks like X5 Xn X6 are pull-down terminals. Have you tried measuring between COM and each one in STOP, RUN and REVERSE switching states to check the voltages are correct? That would rule out the switching/wiring for sure.

What about switching to RUN and leaving it, in case the default is a stupidly slow rate of rise?

Otherwise, I’d just go through every setting in case one has defaulted to 0 Hz base speed in mode 2.

I found a problem, it was me being stupid.

I had added a latching red safety switch in line with the stop switch and had stupidly used a normally open contactor without noticing.

It's now all working.
