Nexus Mig?

Afternoon all,
Has anyone used a Nexus single phase Mig? i went into Leengate welding in grangemouth today and the guy there told me that they are made by Thermal arc, is thsi true or was he talking out of his backside?

When I was ringing around the local welder supplies shops looking for a decent mig set I was told that Sealey welders were made by Murex.

Some people will say anything to get a sale.

No wonder the Aldi stick welders are so good, probably re-badged Lorch units!

it seems there are a lot of rebadging around... we will end up with just one manufacturer and all other would be rebadgers?

I use Leengate, (Part of BOC group). A lot of what they sell is Nexus brand. Heard different stories from different salesmen there as to who actually makes nexus stuff. I've lost track of who makes what.

out of interest, were they cheap enough?, im sure the leengate round here hires them out so you can have a go first

I never got that far Bawjaws, as soon as i walked the guy was on me! i only went in for a nosey because i was early for something.
