Hi, I'm restoring a classic car and bought a cheap MIG welder from Wolf (it seems to do the job) thinking that I would teach myself how to weld, the car needed a lot of welding! I spent a day with a local blacksmith who taught me a great deal and I'm just now, after some many hours of practice, just starting to get a decent seam.
I've discovered that a CO2/Argon mix is better for me (I need all the help I can get!) but would like to use a larger bottle, purely for economy. Trouble is I don't know how to connect a larger bottle to the small and short gas tube that comes out of the rear of the machine. I only have a simple regulator that fits the disposal bottles, can anyone give me some ideas please?
Part of my problem is that I've now found that I quite enjoy this welding lark and would like to do it more often as a hobby and produce decorative items etc. so a larger bottle makes good sense.
Cheers, Ron
