Newbie questions re:argon

Need to get some argon for my tig welder so I can get started with it. I know it's not the cheapest in the long run but at the moment I'm restricted to the little disposable argon bottles, can get 5 390g bottles for 50quid. It says they contain 60litres of gas each, any rough ideas how lond they last?

Also gonna be welding up a new motorcycle exhaust system 304 stainless with 1.6mm wall, what would be better pure argon or 80/20 co2 mix?

60 litre bottles will last 6 minutes at 10litres/min and, of course, some of that will be "wasted" purging the system. Better to go for the 110litre jobbies. They last nearly twice as long for not much more money. Try Weldequip (link at top of page).
