Morning all. New here
Im james, got my first welder, after half an hour managing this now
Not bad for a first timer if i may say so!
Now my question is - i was given my welder by my uncle - it after some fettling works fine - id like to replace the torch as the feed and gas pipe pop out sometimes and its a bit mickey mouse. And all the wires etc too short. The other day i was feeding in a new roll of wire and found it to had come out the gap between the switch and the housing. Straight into my finger. Ouch.
Also held together with cable ties!!
I bought this on ebay, http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=300796424110&globalID=EBAY-GB
But it has two wires for the switch (brown wire i assume to be live and blue to be negative..)
Me old sealey only has one wire going up to the switch - brown. Again i assume thats live... What / where do i put the blue wire to get this new torch fitted..?
It hasn't arrived yet but will come monday ...
Would assume the switch isn't 240v?
Newbie confused!!
