Newbie question

Hi everyone,

I have just joined and have a quick question, i have never welded before in my life but like most things i have to have a go at it myself.

I recently bought a gasless welder from screwfix (it was only cheap) but i didnt want to waste to much money if i decided to give up as a bad job.

Anyway the question does all gasless mig wire contain flux or is that something else i have to use with the welder ????

The flux is in the wire, you don't buy it separate. Aldi had some small reels of 0.9 last time I was in there, pack of 2 for £9.99 which didn't look a bad price for a tryout.

ive used the Aldi wire and found it quite good far better than MM
