Newbie question on material

Hey all quick question (might be a dumb question but it’s all new so learning ) if your making motorbike exhausts out of stainless steel which would you prefer to use 304 or 409 And why? Also what tungsten and filler rod I currently have 1.0 1.6 2.4 blue tips and filler rods came with the tig welder from R tech, Tia

304.

409, will not last as long.

You would need 308 filler wire.

Your tungstens are fine.

304 but some places will use 409 for front pipes and manifolds as it resists cracking better and most “stainless” sports cats are 409 for the same reason.
