My name is Chris, I'm 18 and I have a land rover defender 90 I have ben welding up over the last month or so, i've fabbed a new rear crossmember with winch tray, and some mega patching on the chassis
I've got a clarke 150te mig and a sealey 185a supermig, these welds where done with the latter.
I'm also picking up a free snap-on mig welder next weekend, although it dosn't work, thats about as much as I know about it at present.
Here are a couple of pics of a gearbox crossmember I'm making out of some cut down 100mm box section. I use the sealey MIG welder on setting 3 wire speed 6-7. with pure CO2 gas.
What does every one think? It would be nice to get some feedback from people who know what there doing
