Hey all,
Been in here for a while anonymously looking for advice and have finally decided to look at getting a Portamig 185. I have upgraded my garage supply to a 40 amp feed and have fitted a 16 amp blue switched socket for my recently purchased Giant Cut 40 plasma.
Anyone know whether the 210 Portamig would work on a 16 amp feed or does it need upgrading to a 32 amp?
I am currently using a fairly new Sip Migmate 150 Turbo which aside from most complaints about wire feed etc really isn't too bad.
I am restoring a 73 T2 VW bus which is ROTTEN!!!! If it weren't for the fact I have to replace a 5 foot section of the rear chassis I would have persevered with the Sip but what has swung it for me is the 15 amp bottom end for thin bodywork.
