Newbie just got a tig welder but need some consumables.

I need some help here chaps!
I just bought a Lincoln Norweld 131 tig from Tom Orrow L off this forum, thanks Tom and need a few bits to get it up and running.
I've already got a new twin gauge regulator, some tungtons, and filler rod from weldequip,
but I still need the hose and fittings to connect the welder to the regulator, some gas and torch parts (it's got wp9 on the side of the torch and I only have the "handle" part) I've seen 3/8" hose tails on eBay do I need two of these with right hand threads and some hose?
What's the best place to get some gas and what type? And can I get an adapter to use up my disposable bottles?
Phew!

I'm itching to get tigging. (we need a proper tig smiley)

Been useing them for mig so co2 and argon mix I think.

They're no good for tig mate, straight argon only

Disposable bottles are no good use them on the mig then don't buy any more as they eat cash quicker than a gambling addiction.
You'll need a 3/8 thread nut/nipple for the reg. (right hand thread) only fuel gases are left. A lump of 6mm bore gas line and I cannot tell you the rest as I don't know the fitting on your machine or torch. Pure argon for tig only.

Thanks, I've just found the tig section on the forum that I've missed before so now have a bit more knowledge. I still need the fittings for the torch though, are the collects shields etc all compatible ? It's a WP9 torch btw.

Yeah standard wp9/20 consumables. Just put that into the search engine and you'll have lots of options

Right I've had a result!
I went for a ride yesterday and thought I'd pop into Barnet Welding Supplies on the way home, well what a gem of a place it is!
They're really friendly and had time to talk to me about what I needed to get set up, they do what seems a good deal on gas bottles as well.
They have stock on the shelves for all the tig torches and consumables etc. ( open till late Saturday's as well )
The owner has a Yamaha Xv535 and the other lad an Aprilia RSV 1000!
I'm sure I'll be asking more questions later when I get the welder fired up.

No worries whatsoever matey! Looks like the lads over at barnet will sort you all your consumables, if not give me a bell and i'll see if I can dig some out for you

Thanks, I think the main problem I've been having is not knowing the terminology for what I need, plus sorting out some gas for it. Now I've found this place I know I can go in there for something and he'll know what I'm on about.....
