Hi Folks, thought I'd better introduce myself as I've been lurking on here a lot this year. I have done some mig welding in the past but have always struggled with arc. I've practiced a lot this year with my Aldi buzz box and it's got a lot better (rough as badgers now). Always wanted to learn to tig weld so I've been reading up a lot on here and watched all the usual videos on youtube and as soon as my gas and regulator turn up tomorrow I'm going to get to give it a go. Can't wait to be honest, but just know I'm going to be asking some questions. I do a bit of brewing so i'm going to get hold of some stainless to practice on as soon as I can. Also got an interest in kitcars so I'm going to be practicing a lot on tube as well, although I don't have the space (or money) for that kind of thing at the moment. Got to say this is a great forum/website with a great search engine to. Many thanks to everyone who has ever posted on here, I found the photos and peoples comments about them really helpful.
