okay so i need to know i have a gasless mig welder. my question is do i use fluxed wire or non fluxed wire . iam currently using non fluxed wire and some how i just dont think things are right. unable to show any photos so sorry. but my welds all end up in little single pools . i tried altering the speed of the wire feed and temp but to no avail . currently practicing on say 2 mm steel for my trailer . some welds stick others dont. tried welding 2 peices together but the weld didnt seem to penetrate and they feel apart with a little tap of the hammer. hence my question about the fluxed or non fluxed wire . no instructions so iam on my own . I presume you are able to weld succesfully without have to resort to gas etc . wire size is .8 welder is a starweld 1500 . any way ill keep practicing . ideas ?
