Just registered on the forum but been lurking around for a few weeks.

I plan to get a Clarke 160TM as my first mig, have a little experience using a friends mig. Is this a good welder to start with ? Plan to do bit of everything with it ( land rover based)

Also been given a pub type co2 bottle, will this fit on the regulator that comes with it ?

The Clarke welders are good and recommended often on these forums. I started with a 130EN and it was a great welder for its class.

The 160 comes with a reg for argon mixes. You will need an adapter or a reg for CO2. Weldequip;s shop on the top of the page has regulators with the fittings for the small welders.
