Newbie from Hereford.

Hi, just to say a quick hello. I have welded before about 20 years ago, arc and gas and brazing a few years before that. I am starting a Intro to welding course this week at the local college and aim to get some qualifications after that.
My aim is to tig, I am looking into producing ally silencers and other parts for the motorcycle off road game, mainly trials but see where it goes. I hope it will be a career change, a bit late in life (I am 49) . Further down the line I would like to make fuel tanks. Cheers. Andy......

13 years ago i did an intro to welding at Hereford tech' college.
I was a social worker looking for a bit of variety in my private life.
6 years later I packed in a 20 year career to work as a metal sculptor.
Life has never been better.
You are mixing with dangerous people, those tutors know their business.
Go for it.

its an excelent course you get to play with decent kit and the tutors know what there doing.

Attended the first lesson, will be 10 weeks, it is a feeder course for the Pro courses. I intend to do the pro course next. Migging plate the first night. Early days but time flys.

any piccies, id love a pre 65 trilas bike but ended up with a gas gas txt200 as the cost of a rough pre65 i ended up with a road legal bike
