newbie ...advice

well hi all. i am new to all this welding stuff and thats why im here for advice from the people who know...... well im in to my land rovers and wishinging to take on a project and also looking to build me self a good trailer. so i am after a mig welder with a budget of 200-300 so what are the things to look for and any good tips for me????

Landys? Trailers? well here(fourm) it seems we usually rekomend Clarke 160tm in that price range, a 150 amp Mig that takes full size gas bottles.

Fellas help me out here, 160tm + Landy/Trailer = Happy (that's right? or?)

well, IMHO a PM to weldequip should be a good place to start, sells alsorts of welding gear, (see lots of other threads) Steve will sort you out, a good auto helmet is worth the extra cost.

look in membership list to find him, although I dare say he'll be along soon anyway....
