Afternoon all!
I'm new here, just been given an einhell SGA175 turbo, it's not been used for a few years but upon switching it on it feeds wire and it arcs so that's a good start!
Now then, it seems the torch its ******ed, the thread for the nozzle is shot, can probably recut the thread but a bit of the thread appears to have been melted in the past?! So a new torch it is i reckon, are they universal fit? Or anyone know which ones fit this welder?
The wire feed tube? (excuse my lack of terminology, until yesterday i'd never even seen a MIG welder up close LOL) going by this website's tutorials, it's a serviceable item right? so i shall change that.
The regulator on the gas bottle doesnt appear to be doing what its meant to, the gas above a certain pressure comes straight out the bag of the reg! it's a BOC bottle, are there specific regulators for bottle/welder?
Sorry for the green-ness, it's all very VERY new to me! I'm 21 and have no engineering or mechanical knowledge other than what i've taught myself. The school i went to wouldnt let us use anything more than a soldering iron due to 'elf and safety' despite all the beautiful lathes and pillar drills they had in the workshops

PS this is what i'm working on:
liners aren't exactly universal, though usually you can get a euro torch one to fit almost anything, by cutting the fitting off and using the fittings from the old liner, thats what i've done on my sip topmig
