I have the above Tig box running from a Newarc inverter and I’m very pleased with it. Now I’m retired I’ve got time to learn how to Tig weld and to practice getting it better.
I feel I could control things better with a foot pedal but the Newarc item is very expensive.
I have worked out the main wiring connections and built a pedal. I can control the current with the pedal but there’s no gas or power to the torch.
I see from the basic electrical diagram there is a mode wire. I know Newarc make a pulse unit and a remote current control unit. I assume mode connection allows the machine to function correctly. My problem is I haven’t found an info regarding the this mode signal.
What I’m trying to find is either a full schematic of viper 2500s or at least how the mode signal works. Thanks.
