been scanning this site for a week or so as iv'e been welding up some fence and intend to make some double gates. i haven't touched a welder for 18 years untill a few weeks ago, i learned to weld about 19 years ago iv'e just dug out my old certificate i remember training for this cert doing the same weld position
over and over again until it was perfect and then go on to the next, after the training i had 2 jobs welding but i couldn't stand the head down in a world of your own 8 hours a day
i borrowed a transformer welder from my mate to make the fence it's ok but i would set it up to weld ok the next day it would be to hot or to cold, so last saturday i went out and bought a oil cooled pickhill bantam at the wright money of course! the differance is amazing lovely runs with 13s at less amps this welder is more efficient, i'm finding the more i'm doing the more its comming back to me.........cya Steve.
