New work bench

I got offered a T slot top so I made myself a new bench.

We use a lot of 150x100x10 RHS and get scrap lengths @2000mm back from site.

Took me a couple of days (half of which was cleaning up the box and cutting it with a 9" grinder)

Im not sure exactly what it came off, but something along those lines.

I'm not sure of the exact weight, but around a ton. It certainly doesn't move

The workshop is a little untidy, however we are flat out 99.9% of the time and find it impossible to keep tidy and do a bit every few days.......a man with a mega tidy workshop is a man who isn't doing an awful lot of work?!? Although I'm sure there are exceptions

The pins for levelling are M30 and the table is within 0.1° both ways, it

Nice job but you should have made the legs foldable so you can fold it up and throw it under your arm if you're working off site

Very true mate, also it was left over from a previous job.

I was determined to only use materials that we'd already got as it cost me two days in labour, it's now got some 10mm aluminium checker plate part way down on top of the 50mm shs.....again, left over from another job

Been looking for an old machine table of that size for years for a welding bench, no luck though. Almost got one but it was a few days after the guy had seen it at the scrappies that he told me, I shot up there but it was gone
