New welder

What i would like to know is what are they like, any tips on set up, who there made by and any other info any one wants to throw at me. I know i was after a 150 amp but i'm hoping this will be powerfull enough to do general work on landys. If not i will buy a arc welder for the thicker stuff as they seem well cheap.

should be fine for landy work. There is a tutorial bout welding heavy stuff on here its all in the prep work.

That's pushing it for a landy, it'll be ok on the thinner stuff but will struggle a bit on the chassis. Quite an old machine by the look of it but you got it for a good price if it's in good order.

Hoping its a good one, now i've got a week to learn how to weld before i tackle replacing the boot floor in my discovery and i've gota wait for the welder to get deliverd!!
