new welder. Newbie

Hi everyone, this is my first post so please bare with me, after watching this site for a while, an reading reviews an opinions on first welders etc. An i bought a2nd hand Clarke 150te turbo welder, for a bargain price. Few questions though; it's come with a pub regulator?? I've read up, an it seems i'll need a C02 'pub' type bottle, problem is, i'm not sure where to get one local too me etc :/. An also it's recently had a new 'metal liner' i'm not sure what this is, is that a good thing? Any help/advice would be appreaciated thanks Gaz

The liner guides the wire from the feeder to the gun. The Clarkes come with a plastic liner that wears out quickly. The steel one lasts longer.

Look at the Shielding Gas section for info on getting gas.

Try your local calor gas agents, lots of them now sell other gases, mine has the full range of welding gases including CO2 at decent prices.
