hello guys great site
im new to welding and im teaching myself, my first go was terible but after reading through the tutorials i went back had another go and although still far from perfect the difference was amazing, but still screw up most of the time i guess its gona take time to get good and get consistently good

Hi daz, am a newbie too, welcome to the world of welding and a very informative and supportive site. I did a basic course on Mug, or Mig welding as it should be. It is fun and enjoyable when you see a nice seem, and esp when you get the right sound when welding, one thing this site has shown me, if you want good consistent welds, esp if it is to be aesthetic, or highly visible and thin, use gas, and 0.6 solid wire.
