Hi guys,
So i have been working for a landy specialist for a few years making ... and braking things, and have been lucky enough (at work) to have a nice shiny welder to use.
However I am not paying the kind of money for my boss did to have one for sticking my Suzuki back together and would really appreciate some advice on what to get ( its only 1mm sheet and im not going to be welding much over 3mm at home), cost is the only obvious restriction. Ideally I want to spend the lower side of £200 which i realise means going second hand (is this even close to realistic?).
I have been looking at the posts/advice and decided I would prefer a gas welder (as its what I currently use) but is it worth getting a disposable bottle one and buying the mod to take the refill bottle or just getting a refill ready one? also does anyone know somewhere around bristol that will do rent free bottles? I noticed a post about HSS Hire being quite good for costs etc... thoughts??

oh and on a side note anyone know somewhere GOOD to get a plasma cutter fixed around bristol??
