hello, after a few weeks of searching and getting some good advice from you guys i have bought a lincoln 350 welder for big jobs, so far i have been using c02 with my clarke 161 and have been very happy with it, contrary to the advice i have had from a lot of people saying i should get argon c02 mix, i know its not perfect but it really is good enough for me, my question is
now i have a large welder for 4mm+++ metal thickness, does this mean i really should invest in the best gas or will my c02 quite happily do as a shielding gas for this work as it has with my little clarke?
any help always apprechiated
thanks for your time
james
