Looks very promising, I like the use of two headsets in the steering, nice touch.
how about chopping the back off and stretching it or moving the seat forwards a bit.
Left wheel drive? sensible choice.
I would bite the bullet and lop the back off.
How do you adjust for leg length?
where's the engine ? surely if you make something its to make life easier , remove pedals fit engine and join chunko on one of his loony near vertical death rides with no brakes
How do you adjust for leg length?
crank bracket is cut from frame along with part of upright, then 2 pces flat plate welded to bottom thats longer than box sect of frame.
drill 2 holes through plate at bottom to clamp it to box sect, i welded mine on after getting position right so kids cant nick it
How did you get the drive to the wheel/wheels? Is it freewheeling axle or fixed, I fancy making something like that. Nice work, innovative !
axle is in 2 pces long length running through pillow block bearings.
long side as gear cluster holder welded to it under the seat then run chain, its got tensioner half way along using cut up rear derailleur welded to flat bar but didnt need it.
you can buy the cluster holder but i just sliced one of hub i wasnt using.
hardest part of it all was lacing up spokes into the hubs i had to make for welding on the shafts.
like that idea as can use as standing place for youngest two when taking them to school.
