The fittings are 3/8 bsp very easy to adapt

Did you get a switch for it as well.
I agree with brad, not many Tig torches compete with those on a quality level. Is that fixed or flex head.

It's fixed this one is the sw320SA I had a look at both and decided on this one no switch but I can always add one at a later date

Hi Steve it wasn't cheap but the quality is bang on as another forum member sells these I don't want to affect his sales in anyway or cause any problems or anything so will pm you

What do you think of the V shaped handle Reaper? They are a marmite thing I find. I like them a lot but some prefer the conventional round type.

To be honest Richard I haven't used it yet, still trying to sort out what coolant to use in my water cooler the handle seems fine to me I will no more when I put some time in with it what do you use in your cooler ? I was thinking of pure Mono Ethel Glycol with distilled water plus something to stop bacterial growth not sure what though

I'm quite lucky in the respect I can get the proper Welding coolant solution very cheap. I think it's worth doing when you have invested so much in kit like that. Water alone is corrosive and additives like antifreeze can clog up torch passages over time. Deionised water is often used I believe

That's why I was thinking of pure Mono Ethel Glycol as there are no silicates or fillers in it to clog the water passages in the torch head

Sorry Add I missed that question.
For me it's a reliability thing more than anything else. I've bust loads of them through using them to there limits and they just don't like it. The copper pipes In the neck snap when heated then flexed slightly the thin copper cables corrode and break. Plastic hoses split when over flexed in use. I don't think an occasional user will benefit from weldtec much but mine has been hit hard with alu from day one upto 180 amps and cheaper torches just don't have the duty for that all the time.
The hoses are amazing. There are 3 of them plus a switch cable running through that sheath and you can still rap it tightly round your wrist with no restraint at all. To someone like me it's worth the cash because I can destroy torches quickly at 60 quid a pop for a cheap one. Do that 3 times and you've bought your speedway.

I'm gonna nick one of Jims photos as it illustrates really well where the extra quality is.
Weld tec is the thicker cable with the nickel plated anti corrosive copper Cable in the silicon over braid.
The cheaper one is bare copper and a fraction of the material.

No prob. Like I say if it's getting picked up once a week to do 100amp runs you'll probably not benefit from a £300 tig torch but a daily user on aluminium will soon bust a few cheap necks. I've broke lots.
