Brought a 1993 Discovery earlier this year and now that I have it mechancially viable I need to address the rust
I will be fixing the front inner wheel arches back on the inner upstands with 0.6mm sheet
in the rear arches I have holes at the top to patch up and the body mount is showing on the near side so I will patch that up too.
I have some nice new offcuts 3-6mm which I will use for this.
after that I will remove the plastic sill covers to see how badly holed the sills are, so I can patch and paint up.
I do have a hire shop (artisan) next door which will hireme a mig welder and the protective gear for 27 Pounds per weekend.
at most I would be welding for 3 weekends, so perhaps this is the best option?
