Good Afternoon all.
I recently spotted a pillar drill at a price i thought would be rude not to take it on.
It is obviously very old, and i don't think it is Chinese
.
Can any one Id it, It has Allcock and Hewit on the motor and Bradson on the pillar, so being as i have been known to be easily confused, i am. Any idea on age?
She needs a little TLC but she has no play in the bushings and the motor seems strong. The Wooden pulley needs work too.
Also she has a odd chuck (not one i have seen before), you tighten a bolt that brings two jaws offset (like this //) together. Ill take another photo, just of the chuck when im next at the workshop.

1st time in 43 years ive only slightly clipped my lathe chuck in the same time but did no damage and hardly marked it
