New to me bandsaw

Took delivery of this big boy today, should come in handy! Midsaw "minor deep throat" sawing/filing machine.

Interestingly it's also a filing machine, taking "bandfiles"? Not something I'd ever seen and from what I can tell they are no longer available.

Anyone used a filing machine like such in days gone by? The small table to the left is topped with cork....was it the filing table?

Main table tilts in two directions too which I thought was cool.

I'll probably just get a long blade and run it in full deep throat (oo-err!) mode.

Metal, two speed gearbox and infinitely variable from 50 to 1500fpm if I remember right.

That's a beauty. Extremely versatile machines. My experience with bandsaws generally is that once I've set them up accurately, they flatter my abilities for making dead square plumb accurate cuts in virtually anything.
