hi guys new to forum been reading and reading for the last few weeks
and thought it was time to say hi going to be buying a welder any time now.it a toss up between the 2 clarke ones on weldequip site..as that guys certainly no's his stuff and seems very helpful....anyway the project i'v got on the go at the moment is a mk1 caddy pick-up think i'll be spending more on wire & gas then what i payed for the thing but just couldn't see it going to the big scrap yard in the sky....anyway hi all and what a great forum this is with so many helpful people .....gormo

yes your right there roofman never done so much reading but its all helpin,engineer it is one of tho's sites were theres so much to look at and read about troppo its a vw caddy pick mk1 87 and needs loads of work, i would say long term project...thanks for the welcome guys

hi stuvy already looking at kempsters vw golf thread and the amount ive got to do to mine i'm thinking makes his look like a w/end job,, i'am sure kempsters wouldn't think like that tho as he's got a lot to do buy the look of the mk2....with the caddy think i'm going to keep it as standed looking as possible but the rear bed will be maybe checker plated...but got lots to do in mean time...i'l try an get some pics up of it then you'll be able to see it a lot of work... gormo
