Gents, our 12(ish) year-old Aqualisa Aquastream shower is doing it's death dance (pump cavitating/not pumping very well, thermostat housing leaking, casing looking tatty) so I think I'll need a new one soon. I've never been terribly impressed with this unit, seems to need too much looking after (two or three new thermostat cartridges since new?) and was looking for recommendations. This one's got an integral pump but I thought if I could get away with it I'd just use a gravity feed. The cold water tank was raised by me a few years back to as high as I could get it in the loft but I don't know if this will be enough to feed by gravity alone. I'm tempted to fit a separate mixer unit and booster pump so that if one fails it's not all one bit which needs lobbing out. We've a non-combi boiler and cylinder system if this helps at all?
