New screen?!?!

I've been looking for a new screen for a while now, currently have a kemppi Alfa, along side my speedglass.
But I want one with a bigger viewing area. Has anyone had any experience with the esab globe arc?
I'd so pros and cons. And feedback would be great, ta.

Ive got a globe arc, I tend to use if for light use at home mostly, mig under about 150a
I have used it from time to time at work too if i'm doing a lot of tacking up. The main screen is just right for quick tacking and grinding, flip the outer screen down and perfect for putting a few stitches down. Look underneath, then remember to look up a bit when you start welding :laughing
Bit like using the old split screen jobbies.


Only problem I had was the headband, there is a flappy around bit at the back that broke off, i guess its supposed to make it more comfortable, it doesn't serve any real purpose and hasn't affected the helmet at all really.

Takes some getting used too, swapping between that and an auto.

Haha yeah I know what you mean, I have a speedglass but don't like using it in confined spaces at work.
Just looking for another alternative for the kemppi really, that's saves having to switch from a screen to a visor all the time.

I have one mate I use it mainy for arc welding and the occasional mig its a good mask for light to med work especially if u need to work out in day light its fairly conftorable as well buy spare outer lenses as they dont last long well mine dint :-D

Ahh right ok, yeah I thought that may be the case. I do a lot of flux core in confined spaces, so wouldn't last 2 min lol.
Think I'm going to get the new kemppi model. Reviews seem pretty reassuring.
