This made me laughMy favourite type of earthing.
Two overhead wires in on the poles, quite widely spaced so, what 11kV? Transformer on the pole just across the access road is just for me, I think. I believe that means whatever’s on the secondary side (TN-S) is exclusive to me. I’ll take a pic - always interesting to know these things.Just a thought and not intended to teach anyone to suck eggs; do consider the possibility that although you have TNS earthing system at your service head, it could (most likely) be terminated to a TNC-S supply network.
Genuinely true! TT is ok, but can be a bit shaky and you need RCDs on everything. TN-C-S is, to me, cheap and nasty - broken PEN, questions about whether or not you can export it.This made me laugh![]()
That's what we have. As described by the SSEN guy, Neutral and Earth are connected together at the pole but carried separately to the house via split concentric cable. Two overhead wires in on the poles, quite widely spaced so, what 11kV?
