Finlay started the new workshop/storage building today, I acquired the building a few years back for the cost of removal, heavy lump industrial spec 100ft span....

half a day Friday with the crane should see the last two trusses in place....

looks like the wind braces have gone AWOL so tomorrows job is to make some new ens ang get them up sharpish...

two bays will be concrete, but all the buildings iv done iv always done the concrete last, as you can tie the posts to the slab so to speek...... with that sort of hight 14M at the apex and span its not a problem to work in....

Most i have beenn involved with have been done like that, frame on decent pads, then concrete poured later.

100f span is some size of shed you could have your own indoor soccer pitch and nice views as well
I'm in the process of digging out a cattle shed at the moment your site looks so nice and dry mind just looks like a big mud bath and another inch of rain today didn't help but I'm getting to play with a 130 komatsu which is good fun and hope to still have it to stand the shed
a lot of sheds nowadays are just bolted to the concrete slab I'd prefer the old-fashioned way once you have the pillars up you could pour the floor

thats a fair bit heavier than most of the modern buildings iv done, and even wind brace less moves allot less..

master plan was new workshop, however practically it will free space in a smaller building with a ready floor, so its more likely IL move in a 50x60, (more than enough space) and stick hay and machinery in this....

When I built my sheds/barns I dug the 1.5 mtr square holes for the up rights and set the 600 long bolt anchor plates in at precisely the correct distances and then bunged a slab of polyestyrene over the anchor points threads, then filled the holes via a Ready-mix lorry .

After 28 days we cast the floor slabs , using home made steel profileswith home made rebar anchor pins & a 5 mtr vibrating beam screeder.. I ended up power floating them off at 0330 hrs to 1400hrs ..ached for days. 28 days later a pal arrived with his teleporter , we assembled the portals and errected them with wind ties in just over five hours.

Having that clean smooth floor was an absloute godsend for putting the purlins & roof on , it was just so easy and clean , I was able to use a pallet truck to pull the cladding & roof sheets around the slabs.

The area that was just inside the wriggly tin sheeting walls ( can't spell Plastisol tinsheet ) was filled & hand floated off a few days after the whole lot were clad. Because the slabs were cast before the errecting they dried out well , there was no massive condensation like there is when you cast after the errecting & cladding.

You don't need to wait 28 days for the concrete to cure. It usually has enough design strength at 7 days to load. Taking 3 and 5 day early-strike test cubes gives a good indication of its strength gain.
We've stood columns up on er...12 hour old concrete!
