New Metal Consumer Units and Cable Entries

So what is the requirement for cable entries on the new metal consumer units, do they have to provide strain relief?
I'm fitting a new single phase 10 way MK board into the workshop and if I use strain relief bushes for all the cables (at about £5 a pop) it's going to cost almost as much in glands as the consumer unit.
I see Wylex do a 10 piece grommet pack for £8.50 that would do the whole thing but there is no strain relief.

as I said in an other post mount the board on 2 pieces of roofing latts. bring all the cables in from the back the holes in can be a fair size if there aren't already knockouts all the ones I have done have 3 large round ones or 3 large square ones using grommet strip round the edges once finished seal round the distribution board to make it fire proof no need for strain relief if all the incoming cables are clipped or plastered in

Has anyone noticed the metal Fischer wall plugs Toolstation are promoting in the electrical section as "Covers the new wiring regulations under BS 7671"

As far as i am aware there is no requirement for all metal fixings or even a requirement for non flammable back board or fixings. Sounds like a sale pitch.

Metal fixings (or at least fire resistant) are now required on fire escape routes for overhead fixing. Not really a domestic issue in most cases. We use them routinely now for most runs.

Thats the same with cable ties and such, stops fire fighters getting caught up on cable dropping down from above.

I wonder how long till shorts from swarf in drilled units becomes just as much of a problem as the same people who can't tighten terminals correctly.
Would be good to go back to heavy duty 2 screw style terminals on anything over 40a.
